Daniel Mortensen is a senior in the English: American/Comparative Literature program at Western Connecticut State University, a member of the WCSU Honors Program, English Society, and Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. He previously worked at Beyond the Margins as an Associate Editor. In 2009, he was the co-recipient of the Elizabeth Tulloch James Memorial Scholarship. However, when academics and editorial responsibilities do not demand his full attention, he works as an amateur songwriter and poet.
